Denon DJ has been actively testing all applicable hardware and software products with each beta release of macOS 12 Monterey. We understand how important it is for all our users to know exactly what works before they make the jump on any new updates.

We encourage all our users to remain on their current OS until all necessary hardware and software products have been qualified for use with the macOS 12 Monterey operating system.

Please refer to this article for all Denon DJ hardware and software compatibility with macOS 12 Monterey. This page will be updated regularly to reflect any changes to product compatibility as testing is completed.

* The product may have passed testing showing support for connection and MIDI communication, but firmware update software or other utilities may not have been tested or are found to be not supported.
** The PRIME Go and PRIME 2 are standalone products that do not require macOS 12 Monterey or M1 support for normal use. Operations such as updating firmware and transferring files have passed testing for macOS 12 and M1 support.

MCX8000 Support

A driver for MCX8000 support was previously required on macOS Catalina. This driver is no longer necessary on macOS Big Sur or macOS Monterey and may even prevent communication altogether. We recommend that users uninstall this driver before using the MCX8000 with macOS Monterey.

To uninstall, please download the MCX8000 Mac Driver at denondj.com/downloads. Once downloaded, double-click the .dmg and run the MCX8000 MIDI Uninstaller.
