Powered by a one-of-a-kind machine-learning algorithm, Serato Stems provides unrivaled sound quality and performance. DJs can now create acapella or instrumentals at the click of a button, isolating or removing parts to create smooth transitions.





What Denon DJ hardware is compatible with the Stems feature?

The following Denon DJ hardware will feature the ability to replace an existing pad mode with Stems.

*Requires Serato DJ Pro 3.0.1 or higher.

Replacing an existing Pad Mode With Stems

Serato DJ Pro: When connected to hardware that supports this feature, go to the DJ Preferences tab on the Setup Screen and tick the "Replace Pad Mode with Stems" checkbox. From the drop-down below the "Replace Pad Mode with Stems" checkbox, select the Pad Mode you wish to replace with Stems. The pad mode chosen will now be Stems Pad Mode.

Serato DJ Lite: When connected to hardware that supports this feature, go to the DJ Preferences tab on the Setup Screen and select "Replace Sampler with Stems"

Once a pad mode has been replaced with Stems Pad Mode, the pads and parameter buttons
will control the following Stems features:


Serato DJ Pro & Lite:

  • Pad 1 = Vocal Stem off/on.
  • Pad 2 = Melody Stem off/on.
  • Pad 3 = Bass Stem off/on.
  • Pad 4 = Drums Stem off/on.
  • Left parameter button = Acapella on/off.
  • Right parameter button = Instrumental on/off.
  • Shift + left parameter button = Select 1/2 beat value for Stems Echo Pad FX.
  • Shift + right parameter button = Select 1 beat value for Stems Echo Pad FX.


Serato DJ Pro Only:

  • Pad 5 = Vocal Echo
  • Pad 6 = Instrumental Echo
  • Pad 7 = Instrumental Breaker
  • Pad 8 = Drums Echo
